The question of what to wear is always a sad reminder of how the possibilities for today suddenly got a lot bleaker. I feel your pain, deeply. But all is not lost, for I have devised a method to air out that morning funk (crack a window-that helps too)…Ready? One word. Sweatshirts.
I know what you’re thinking. Really? That’s your great solution to help expand today’s possibilities? Sweatshirts? How do you figure that one?
Well. Let me show you my ways, grasshopper.
Scene 1: Kick-it with the dudes–probably going to hit up some place nice to eat, then bowling and then video games at Jamie’s place.
Action: Clearly it’s going to be a night where I need to look fly and feel good, because I’m going to be out awhile tonight. So, a crewneck sweatshirt seems like a comfortable option, but it can’t stand on its own so accessories and other details are instrumental. The sweatshirt should be colorful or have some creative design on it and fit you like a loose glove—it’s not a lazy day sweatshirt, that one fits different—and probably be about 5-6 oz, anything heavier gets bulky. Dark blue jeans always have a bolder effect than their faded companions, so go with those. Next, make sure you got a nice hat, I’m thinking flat billed, maybe an ash gray color—Yupoong hats are always a good go-to option. And those shoes—go for casual loafers or Vans. And there you go—you’ll stay comfortable in every setting and look good doing it.
Scene 2: Gym time. Must stay comfortable and have maximum effectiveness.
Action: Alright so the more I got on, the more I sweat right? More sweat = more calories burned. So I’m thinking a hooded, heavy sweatshirt —probably 9 oz—but the fit should probably be a size bigger. I say this because as a fellow gym rat, I’ve had my share of nastyyy skin infections and acne because of the ‘muscle tees’ and spandex-based tank tops. Stick to something cotton, something organic and something loose.
